Agenda Premier League: Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin & Upper West Division I Clubs set sights on Top Flight Football

Management of the three (3) Division One League Clubs in Wa paid a visit to the 3rd Gentleman of Ghana to express Appreciation for the support received in the form of jerseys and footballs.

The delegation also included Chairman of the Upper West RFA – Alhaji Yahaya Sadugu Biyad and Awudu Ishaq.

In presence for the Clubs included Daud Arif of Wa Suntaa SC, Atow Salifu of Maana FC, Osman Ibrahim and Nuhaila Issaka Koray also led the Wa Power SC entourage.

The Clubs thanked Hon. Alban Bagbin for the gesture and support towards the development of other Football activities within the Region.

Wa Power SC presented their 2022/2023 Division II League Trophy 🏆 as well as they become the new entrants into Ghana’s 2nd tier Football.

Alhaji Biyad on behalf of the Clubs rolled the Agenda proposed by the Clubs to bring Premiership to Upper West Region in an era of Hon. Alban Bagbin’s supremacy and with His support in diverse ways, including financial support, lobbying for sponsorships, ideas and advice.

He also lamented Club’s challenges in traveling for away games outside the Region, this is due to their incapacity to afford a vehicle for transportation on time leading to fatigue and poor performances.

Hon. Alban Bagbin welcomed the Agenda of the Clubs and gave advice on how to unite and desist from pulling down each other’s success, He advised them on innovative ways of running Football Clubs as done Internationally and also how to secure funds from companies (particularly petroleum) operating in the Region to augment support in the game.

The Speaker of Parliament promised to cut costs and burden of the three (3) Division One League Clubs through the provision of a 30-seater Coaster bus as His next line of intervention towards the Agenda Premier League for Upper West Region.

Each of the three (3) Clubs have the chance to embrace this Golden opportunity by launching a fiercely start to the 2023/2024 season, with the Speaker ready to support the contenders for promotion in their playoff game to finally secure Top flight Football for Upper West Region since Wa All Stars sale 5 years ago.
