Access Bank DOL: Resilient Wa Power SC completes comeback to register Historic Victory

The newcomers had a slow start to start to the game as they conceded free kicks within the back which resulted in Victory Club Warriors taking the lead after 6 minutes from a dead ball.

They however did not relent on the early setback as their struggles paid off 27 minutes into the game with a deserved equalizer from Forward Mohammed Mabrouk after a well worked team play involving Tailor Mohammed Salifu, Iddrisu Abdul Nafiw, Issahaku Wahid, and the final assist from Sherif Gunu.

Wa Power SC was rewarded with a penalty spot on the stroke of Halftime after Hamedu Taluta was knocked down just inside the box.

Iddrisu Abdul Nafiw converted beautifully to give an edge going into the break.

Substitute Dele Faisal Zakhi made it 3-1 to put the game to bed with 20 minutes remaining to play.

The victory secures the first 3 points of the season after 2 matches, with Northern City leading with 4 points.

Next for Wa Power SC is another Home fixture this weekend against Steadfast FC.
