It has become a worrying situation as for the second consecutive international break the senior national team Black Stars has been left without a friendly match
With the qualifying round of the 2021 African Cup of Nations on the looming, the Black Stars are yet to have any meaning engagement ahead of the matches
Group opponents such as South Africa have all been engaging in friendlies ahead of the qualifiers while the senior team are yet to have one arranged for them
Ghana’s last game came at this year’s Afcon in Egypt where they exited at the round of 16 of the competition against Tunisia and has since not played in any other form of match
Coach James Kwasi Appiah and his team had no friendly during the September international break and has as well been left without a friendly this month as well
The Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee whose core mandate is to stir the affairs of the nation’s footballing activities has failed in this regards to arrange a friendly for the team ahead of the upcoming qualifiers
Reports has it that head coach James Kwasi Appiah is set to leave the shores of Ghana during the international break to monitor Ghanaian players abroad while his other opponents are have arranged friendly matches in preparations towards the upcoming qualifiers
The Normalization Committee should not concentrate more on the upcoming Football Association elections at the expense of the national teams
