‘We will bring in more investors to Ghana for the African Games’ – says Prof Peter Twumasi – National Sports Authority Boss
Director General of the National Sports Authority, Prof Peter Twumasi has hinted that his office will look to bring in more investors into the country for the next African Games which will be hosted by Ghana
After the 12th edition of the African Games came to a successful conclusion last month, Ghana has the single honour to host the rest of Africa in the next edition which will take place in 2023
In an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Professor Peter Twumasi said the government is ready to invest in infrastructure
“Ghana Government is ready to build game villages in this regions (Kumasi,Accra,Cape Coast and Tamale) which can host 54 countries for the next African games and it’s a great investment which will bring impart on our economy”
He went further to say;
“We got another opportunity from Morocco African games which we will bring some investments in Ghana to improve our sporting disciplines for the next African games
“We are praying the government will start the renovation works at all our stadia in the Country
“We(NSA) will meet the Sports Minister;Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah on Tuesday to present our African games medals and our Report to him at his office
“We will invite the media to the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday for the presentation of medals won by team Ghana at just ended African games in Morocco” he ended
