“We have been vindicated”- GFA Lawyer Naa Odofoley Nortey

The legal practitioner expressed her happiness in CAS dismissal of the case presented by Osei Palmer in an interview with Happy Sports.

“What is relieving for me and the best part for me is the fact that the normalization committee has been vindicated.

Both parties are to foot their own cost which is the saddest part for me because even though we won, we can’t go for our legal fees from the other party.

I was not surprised about the ruling from CAS. It was clear about the disqualification handed over to him by the Normalisation Committee.

The case being contested in CAS wasn’t what was even discussed in the media. The decision of the NC was affirmed which CAS agrees and that is the best part for me and I am very happy about it. We have been vindicated by our decision.”

She continued on Palmer’s future eligibility for GFA President. “If the next electoral committee says he is not in breach of any of the status then he will pass through. I don’t know what will happen in the future but if he hires a good lawyer like me then he can pass through.

I don’t know how the next election will be conducted so if he passes the integrity test of the next electoral committee why not, he can contest.”
