Vitória Guimarães complete signing of Ghana defender Gideon Mensah

Vitória Sport Clube, announces the loan signing of Gideon Mensah, who will be at the service of the Victorian emblem until the end of this season, leaving Vitória SC with a purchase option of 2.2 million euros of the Ghanaian international.

At 22, Gideon Mensah is one of Africa’s greatest promises, having already accumulated a lot of experience in European football.

In 2016 he signed for Red Bull Salzburg’s juniors, coming from WAFA, having been loaned, at the same time, to Liefering, where he would stay until the middle of the 2018/19 season. He went on loan to Sturm Graz, also from Austria, where he completed 13 games in the main league.

In the 2019/20 season, he was transferred to Zulte Waregem, from Belgium, where he played 19 games in the top level.

Mensah has already won a UEFA Youth League on his resume, at the service of Red Bull Salzburg, and two caps for Ghana’s national team.
