VIDEO: Tempestuous Kotoko Fans Rain Invectives on Management and Players for Confederation Cup Failure
A cross section of Kumasi Asante Kotoko fans who travelled with the team to Ivory Coast registered their outrage towards management and players following their painful exit from the Caf Confederation Cup.
The supporters who traveled by road to Abidjan for the return leg registered their displeasure to the defeat and even tried to beat up some of the members of the management team and players alike.
The angry fans used abusive and venomous language to blame the coach Kjetil Zachariassen and his players for exiting the competition prematurely. A competition former coach C.K Akonnor took them all the way to the group stages.
Kotoko could not hold onto their 1-0 first leg advantage as San Pedro fought back and won 2-0 and 2-1 on aggregate, kicking out the Porcupine Warriors from the competition.
The Porcupine Warriors began their campaign in the Caf Champions League but failed to progress and where demoted to the Confederation Cup competition where coach Zachariassen claimed was their level.
