UWRFA DIV II: Dominant TF Exponential thrashed Wa United FC on MD1
Serekpere based TF Exponential FC led by head coach Rashid Gbene Suleman and assistant Benedict Cheffa showcased their dominance over Wa United FC during match day one of the Upper West Regional Football Association Division Two League. As the 2022/2023 1st runners up, TF Exponential FC displayed their exceptional football prowess by scoring two early goals at the 6th and 8th minutes of the first half. This left their opponents in awe as TF Exponential FC attacked with a hunger akin to that of a lion pouncing on its prey.
TF Exponential FC, also paraded as the favorites of this year’s UWRFA division two league, have continued their successful run from last season’s maiden appearance. Prolific striker, Lucky Aarikuu, instilled confidence in the team by scoring on the 6th minute of the clock. The skipper, James Angsinaa, provided a quick support by doubling the scoreline on the 8th minute, also becoming the first player to score a brace in the league in the 38th minute.
The party continued for TF Exponential FC as Foroko Farihan Moomin extended their lead in the 68th minute. Finally, Lucky Aarikuu concluded the match with a goal from a spot kick in the 90th minute.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time TF Exponential FC and Wa United FC have met in a competitive game. Last season’s encounter in middle league ended with a 3:2 victory for TF Exponential FC, as they tamed the Zebras of Upper West football.
