Phoenix Rising FC returned to winning ways following their 5-3 win over Portland Timbers II in the USL Championship
Solomon Asante played full throttle and had an assist to his name as well on the night
The assist is Asante’s 16th of the season meaning he is now leveled with the USL Championship all time assist list and could break the record before the season ends
Phoenix Rising FC opened the scoring as early as the fourth minute of the match through Kevon Lambert to set them on their way to victory before Portland Timbers II pulled parity in the 24th minute of the match
Solomon Asante teamed up perfectly for Ben Spencer to give Phoenix Rising FC as 2-1 lead heading to the break
Phoenix Rising FC came out for the second half all fired up and poised for action
Phoenix Rising FC added a third in the 54th minute of the match through Junior Flemmings
Flemmings’ goal on the night was his 15th of the league campaign setting a USL Championship record of three players scoring 15 league goals for one club in a single season as Solomon Asante and Adam Jahn all have 15 or more goals for Phoenix Rising FC
Ben Spencer grabbed a brace in the 70th minute of the match to give Rising FC a 4-1 lead with twenty minutes left on the clock
Timbers II made it 2-4 three minutes after conceding the fourth goal of the match before an own goal from Rising FC further reduced the deficit for Timbers II with fourteen minutes to end the match
Rising FC added a fifth in the 88th minute of the match through Aguinaga after he had already provided two assists in the game
