USL: Solomon Asante shortlist for USL Championship Most Valuable Player of the season

Ghanaian international Solomon Asante has been shortlisted for the USL Championship Most Valuable Player of the season following his outstanding season with Phoenix Rising FC

The Phoenix Rising FC skipper has been nominated alongside two others for the coveted award of the season and will have to out muscle his opponents to lift the award

Solomon Asante earned his place on the list after he broke the USL Championship records for assists (17) and combined goals and assists (39) in a single season

His 22 goals scored broke a single-season club record and was just three goals shy of the league record

He was also won the USL’s Golden Boot and was named in the 2019 All-League First Team
