Solomon Asante has been retained by Phoenix Rising FC ahead of the upcoming USL Championship campaign next year
Following the club’s record breaking season, Phoemix Rising FC has released majority of their players ahead of the new season while retaining only eleven core players of last season
Captain Solomon Asante is in a company of ten others to be retained by the club with notably inclusions such his two other front partners in Junior Flemmings and Adam Jahn all making the cut
Phoenix Rising FC won the USL Championship regular season title as well as breaking the record most winning streak in American Professional soccer history with 20 wins
Solomon Asante broke the USL Championship record for most assists (17) and a combined goals and assists of 39
He scored 22 times throughout the season to break the record of a single-season club record and was just three short of the league record
Solomon Asante won the USL Championship Golden boot for most goals and made 34 appearances of the club in the season starting 33 of the matches throughout the campaign and was the most active player of the club with 2,940 minutes of footbball
