In form Ghanaian winger Solomon Asante continued his explosive form in the season last night for Phoenix Rising FC in the 2-1 win over Sacramento Republic FC in the USL championship
The Ghanaian took his tally of assists for the campaign to a record high of 12 as his side fought back from an early goal in the second minute of the contest to win the game comfortable in front of their home crowd
Solomon is now four shot of a single season record of 16 assists and could as well equal it or break such record before the end of the season
The victory means Phoenix Rising FC are the only American professional soccer club to win 15 straight matches in a single season
Phoenix Rising FC remain on the summit of the USL championship, Western Conference table with 56 points after 24 games in the season with a game in hand as well
The win at home is the club’s record 14th unbeaten home run in front of their fans
Next for Solomon and his charges is an away trip on Wednesday to face Tacoma Defiance in the USL championship
