U/W: Five young talents pick out of the lot by National U-15 scouting team

Five young talents out of many who turned out for the on-going nationwide U-15 scouting exercise were selected by the team of scouts in the Upper West Region

The event which took place on Saturday, November 16 saw hundreds of talented youths from far and near in the regional capital grace the occasion

The players were registered and grouped into teams where they played eleven aside games as scouts around pick those who excel in the matches

Series of such games were played before the final selection was made on the day which saw majority of the selected players coming from the youth team of Wa based club Yaasin SC on the day

Players travelled from Nadowli, Jirapa and Tumu districts in the region all participated in the exercise

Despite the late arrival of the officials for the exercise due to a break down of vehicle on their way to the region, it didn’t take the shine of the exercise as the youngsters displayed scintillating and magnificent skills on the day to the admiration of the scouts

Exco member and head of the scouting team, Samuel Anim Addo alongside Head coach of the National U-15 team Samuel Boadu were the dignitaries to have graced the occasion on the day as well as the Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Daudi Saadugu Yahaya

The selected players will now have to arrive to the nation’s capital, Accra when the nationwide exercise is concluded and will go through numerous justifying processes before the final team will be assembled ahead of the upcoming WAFU U-15 tournament in Burkina Faso
