Thumbs up: Coach Iddrisu Abu Polibu guides Wa Yaasin Juniors to DOL after scintillating Performance

It took the brilliance of Head Coach Iddrisu Abu Polibu affectionately called ‘Asprilla’, to mastermind a high pressing game to pile pressure on opponents and get results when needed most. 

The Academy Boys proved to the whole Region that Training and constant practice is the Hallmark of Excellence as they run over opponents throughout all the 6 games in the Middle League Champaign.

Yaasin Juniors topped the middle league table with Wa United on 11 points and same head to head, rendering a playoff to determine the Champion in accordance to GFA regulations. 

Yaasin Juniors won the playoff 1-0 on Wednesday evening at the Wa Sports Stadium, with the only goal scored by Theophilus after just 3 minutes from the penalty spot. 

Coach ‘Asprilla’ have now qualified a Club to Division One League for the second time in his Coaching career, achieving the same feat a decade ago.

Six teams participated in the middle, Wa United. Yaasin Juniors, Sombo Freedom Stars, Ziko Babies, Happy Stars and Kpujinang FC. 

The National Division One League 2021/22 season kicks off on the 11th of November this year.
