Thomas Teye Partey included in Atletico Madrid squad for Champions League quarter-final game

Ghana International Thomas Partey has been named in Diego Simeone’s 25 man squad list for the quarter-final game against German opposition RB Leipzig.

The Ghanaian midfielder was a doubt for the encounter after picking an injury in training ground.

The game against RB Leipzig is going to be a single tie on Thursday evening at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon, with the winner set to face the victor of the first quarter-final tie between Atalanta and Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.

Both clubs will be missing notable names, with Atletico Madrid without Angel Correa and Sime Vrsaljko after both players tested positive for Covid 19.

RB Leipzig will also be playing their first game without All time top scorer Timo Werner, who left for Chelsea after the Bundesliga season ended.
