South Africa : Belgium interest in Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori confirm by club Chairman
Absa premiership side Maritzburg United have confirmed they have had offers from Belgium for the services of Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori
Club chairman, Farouk Kadodia has confirmed that Richard Ofori who has been an outstanding figure for the club since joining in the 2011/12 season has attracted interest from Belgium clubs over the following seasons
Richard Ofori has been arguably Maritzburg United’s standout performer in the past years and has already had five clean sheets for the club in ten league games this season as well as conceding just 7 goals so far
“There’s some interest from Belgium for Ofori. But first I need to clarify this. Ofori is not in the last year of his contract. He still has one more year left at the club,” Farouk Kadodia said as quoted by IOL
“We would love to place Ofori into a good team not at the team where his career won’t go far
“The were some talks with the team from Belgium, but nothing has been pursued as yet. If it happens, it will be the end of the season”
