Slow start to the season as Wa Suntaa SC suffers defeat away from home to Yendi Gbewaa on Match Day 1 on the Division One League Season

Wa Suntaa SC began the new Division One League Season on a losing not away from home to Yendi Gbewaa on Match Day 1 at the Ali Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale

The Wa based club threw away the lead twice on the day to lose by 3-2 to the home side

Goal poacher Abdul Muizdeen gave the Wa based club the lead in the 10th minute of the encounter before the home side responded positively with the equalizer five minutes after going down

Experienced centre forward Ibrahim Hanif Donkor restored the lead for Wa Suntaa SC with three minutes to first half before the home side again restored parity before the break

Yendi Gbewaa came out more spirited and run away with the maximum points as they scored the only goal of the second half

Wa Suntaa SC return to the Wa Sports Stadium on Match Day 2 of the season to play host to Tano Bofoakwa on Wednesday, January 15
