The race to become next Regional Football Association Chairman of the Upper West Region takes another milestone as aspirants will today Wednesday face the five member vetting committee at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat
Following a successful filing in of nomination forms by the contenders, the region is said to have three personalities aimimg for the top most position so as to stir the affairs of the football fraternity in the region and nation at large
Incumbent Alhaji Daud Yahaya Saadugu Biyad is in contention with two others in the person of Dajan Naa Seidu Bomson Jnr and Bawa Pele as they challenge each other for the position
Long serving chairman Alhaji Yahaya Biyad is gaining to maintain the seat so as to continue from where he left off whiles Dajan Naa Seidu Bomson haven served in the same administration with the incumbent as vice chairman for eight years is seeking to now lead the affairs of the Football Association as the main man and Fellow contender Bawa Pele who has also served with the incumbent is also hoping to bring his vast experience to play when given the nod
The trio have both had petitions and protests labelled against them questioning their candidature ahead of the vetting process later today and will be hoping for the green light to enable them contest for the top most position
With the trio facing petitions and protests it is unlikely to have them all vying for the position as one or two or maybe all of them might be disapproved in the most unlikely event
