Rejuvenated Hafiz Wontah set for exciting season with Bechem United in the 2019/20 season
Bechem United marksman, Hafiz Wontah is embracing himself for a more exciting and successful campaign with ‘The Hunters’ in the 2019/20 season
The young centre forward who netted eight times in the past season that was truncated is hoping to replica the same form going into the new season
Hafiz Wontah left Bechem United pastures anew in Turkey and Cyprus before making a return to the local scenes ahead of the season and will lead the line for Bechem United
Ahead of the start of the campaign, ghanafootballnews.com sat down with him and here is what the budding forward has to say:
“I am excited to make a return to the local scenes after travelling out last season and am hoping for a more exciting and fruitful season this time round with Bechem United”
“I feel more matured and fit enough ahead of the new campaign and more accustomed to the standards of the premier league at the moment, so hopeful am not thinking of struggling that much in the league”
Having scored eight times in the truncated season, The forward is hoping to carbone copy that form this season
” I felt disappointed we couldn’t finish the season because I was optimistic of going on to score more goals and lift the Golden Boot award for the most goals in the league. Am hoping to carry on from there and hopefully I can score more goals this season than before”
With recent reports linking him with a move away from ‘The Hunters’ as reports indicated Wa Allstars SC now Legon City FC and giants Accra Hearts of Oak were chasing his signature, the towering forward said
” Am very please to see such clubs showing interest in me which shows am doing things right with my current employers and it is a platform for me to build on to reach maximum highs in my career. For now am under contract with Bechem United and I respect the contract and am staying put here with the club”
” Starting a new campaign with a win or positive results is always a good foundation to build on going forward in the season and that is our main target in the opening games of the season”
“The target is to notch in more goals and most importantly help the club achieve our target of the season and hopeful staying injury free”
