Al Sadd have reached an agreement to sign Ghanaian star Andre Ayew.

The player will arrive in Doha in the morning to complete the routine procedures, followed by the signing of the contract and the official announcement.

The 31 year old has been a free agent after being released by English side Swansea City following the expiration of his contract at the Liberty Stadium last month.

Ayew finished the 2020/21 season with 17 goals in 46 appearances as Swansea’s top scorer, but will now look to continue his club football in Qatar, where he will be managed by former FC Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez.
