Qatar 2022 WCQ: Djibouti records first competitive win in twelve years
Djibouti recorded only their second competitive win in football as they beat eSwatini 2-1 in the African World Cup Qualifier on Wednesday
Their last victory in a competitive match was in November 16th, 2007 when they beat South Sudan by a 1-0 to record their first win the playoffs
It was a massive victory for the nation as they beat eSwatini 2-1
What’s more, against an opponent who kept them from qualifying for the previous World Cup beating them 8-1 on aggregate
To keep their hopes alive and have any chance of progressing in the qualifiers, they need to be at their maximum best in the return leg on Tuesday in eSwatini
