PREVIEW: Asante Kotoko vs Etoile Du Sahel – Caf Champions League
Going into today’s game the Porcupine Warriors are well aware of the threat their Moroccan counterparts can pose and would need to embrace and push the limits of their physical prowess and mental acumen.
The first leg of two legged tie at home against a stubborn North African side is the merest hint that you have no choice but to win and win convincingly to avoid any setback in the return leg in Morocco.
Kotoko pushed aside Kano Pillars whilst Etoile secured a comprehensive 8-3 aggregate win over Hafia Conakry in the preliminaries.
The two time champions would seek to book a place in the group stages for the first time in 13 years over Etoile who were champions in 2007.
RECENT FORM OF BOTH TEAMS:
Kotoko are pretty much in good form, winning three, drawing one and losing just a game in their last five matches.
Etoile however are a bit on the ropes as they’ve won only one game in their last five matches. Losing three and drawing one.
Kickoff time is 3:00 pm.
