PRESIDENTIAL CUP: Hearts Coach Kim Grant Optimistic of Victory against Arch-Rivals Kotoko

This year’s Presidential Cup will feature prominently between the two biggest Clubs in the country, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Ghanaian version of El-Classico popularly referred to as the Super Clash is one of the fiercest games in Ghana. The local derby usually lives up to its billing due to the bragging rights that comes with it.

Ahead of the game on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi Kim Grant who’s also the Technical Director of the Club is overwhelmingly optimistic his side stands every chance of winning the game.

He’s quoted as saying “We are going to make sure that Kotoko finds it very difficult and I’m sure they will because this is the team they have played for a long time. This is a totally different team. He added that his side is “playing differently now“and very hopeful they’ll soon be a force to reckon with.

In the not too distant future it is actually the Porcupine Warriors who have been dominant as they’ve beaten Hearts back to back in the Presidential Cup in recent outings.

The last time they met Hearts lost on penalties to Kotoko in the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
