Patrick Asmah joins Asante Kotoko from Atalanta

Asante Kotoko have confirmed the signing of left-back Patrick Asmah ahead of the new season.

The left-back passed his medical before signing a two-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors.

The former Ghana youth star joins as a free agent after his contract with Italian side Atalanta BC came to an end last summer.

Asmah signed for the Italian club from B.A United in 2016 after an outstanding performance for Ghana’s U-20 at the 2015 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand.

He failed to break into the first team of Atalanta and was subsequently loaned out three times.

Kotoko are hoping for an excellent season as they compete in three competitions, including the CAF Champions League.
