Nandom Zone wins Gold in Men Football & Volleyball Events at UWR TVET Sports Festival

The Zone which comprises of three 3️⃣ Schools namely St. John’s Technical Institute, St. Anne’s Technical Institute and Guo Technical Institute, stormed the contest in the Men Football Final with 3-2 penalty shootout victory after a goalless drawn game with hosts Issa Technical Institute.

The boys from Nandom were favorites going into the Men Volleyball Final after a convincing Semi Final victory against Nadowli/ Kaleo Zone. They emerged victorious making a comeback after loosing the first set against Wa Technical Institute from the Wa West Zone.

Nandom Zone won the double in Volleyball as they won the Women Volleyball Event as well, showing their prowess in the Sporting discipline.

Wa West Zone (Wa Technical Institute) won the Handball Men Event beating Nadowli/ Kaleo in the Final.

Women Football Final takes place tomorrow morning between Wa Central Zone and Wa West Zone. Wa Central Zone comprises Naa Momori Technical and Nakore Technical Institutes, and they come up against their neighbors from Wa Technical Institute.

Athletics follows thereafter with participating Schools set to compete in both Men and Women 100, 200, 400 and 1,500 races.
