MLS: Latif Blessing with a brace in LA derby six goals thriller

Former Liberty Professionals forward Latif Blessing was in scintillating form for Los Angeles FC in their thrilling 3-3 draw with Los Angeles Galaxy in the LA derby

The Ghanaian was instrumental as his side staged a hard fought come back to draw at home against city rivals LA Galaxy in the MLS

Veteran Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring for the away side in the second minute of the game before Latif Blessing pulled parity for his side ten minutes later

Zlatan Ibrahimovic again scored his second as well as his side’s second to restore their lead three minutes after Latif has leveled the score

Argentine forward Christian Pavon increased the tally for the away side a minute after Zlatan has put them ahead in the game

Latif Blessing then scored his second and club’s second to reduce the deficit before first half. Mexican forward Carlos Vela scored the only goal in the second half of the thrilling encounter to earn a draw for his side

Los Angeles FC remain top of the table with 62 points after 27 games into the season. Next is a home encounter at Minnesota United on Monday September 2
