Massive Demonstration set to hit the Upper West Region over abandoned Multipurpose Youth Complex

The Upper West Region is set to witness a massive demonstration over the state of the uncompleted multipurpose youth complex centre in the region as agitated soccer loving fans across seek to display their displeasure with stagnant nature of work at the site

The demonstration is expected to see people from across the region irrespective of region or political affiliation gather in the regional capital to embark on the demonstration

After several stakeholders meetings with the Regional Minister and consultation with the National Sports Authority, over getting the contractor back to site has yielded no positive results hence pushing the agitated people of the region to seek for the demonstration

The facility has been abdicated for more than five months now with only three or five workers usually spotted alleging to be working

The complex was supposed to be handed over to the region in September after with was extended for further months from the initial date but has still remain far behind the proposed time of completion

The ground breaking demonstration is expected to see people from all the eleven districts in the region teaming up for the exercise as and when the date for the demonstration is settled on

Sadly, one would have hope this would have been the quickest facility among others to have been completed in no time for the region considering the lack of sporting facilities in and around the region
