Ghana premier league giants Asante Kotoko have been handed major injury boost with the long awaited return of crocked centre back Ismail Abdul Ganiu

The highly rated defender has been out of action for seven months following a knee injury he sustained last year

His last match for Asante Kotoko was against his former side Karela United o June, 2019

Ismail Abdul Ganiu made a return from his lengthy spell for Asante Kotoko in their 4-1 thrashing of lower tier side Kumawuman FC in a friendly on Tuesday

His return to full fitness is a major boost for the Porcupine Warriors as their defensive department his further strengthened in the on-going Ghana premier league season

Ismail Abdul Ganiu will surely miss his side’s away trip to Accra for the Clasico against Hearts of Oak but could certainly make a competition return in no time
