Marvelous ‘Stephen Diyou’ bags 14th MVP award in away victory against Wa Suntaa SC

The 17-year old made a huge impact as Nsoatreman FC completed the double over Wa Suntaa SC on MatchDay 25 at the Wa Stadium, coming back from a first half deficit to win the game 2-1.

The home side took a deserved lead in the first half through Osman Abdulai, the striker netted his first goal of the season since returning to the Wa Suntaa squad in the second transfer window.

Stephen Diyou set up the equalizer from a set piece less than 10 minutes to end the game, after he was brought down by his marker close to the opponents 18 yard box.

Nsoatreman FC found winner moments later from striker Mohammed Abdul Rahaman after beating his opponent inside the box.

The accolade means Stephen Diyou has 14 Most Valuable Player awards from 19 Division One League matches this season.

The skillful wing-forward also boasts of 2 goals and 9 assists for Nsoatreman FC this season with five matches to go.

The victory takes Nsotreman three places up the league log to 7th position, with Wa Suntaa still sweating on the 12th position just above the drop.
