Kwabena Owusu registers assist to help Qarabag FK qualify for Europa League group stage
Ghana forward Kwabena Owusu played a key role as Qarabag secured qualification to the group stage of the 2020/2021 Europa League season on Thursday night, beating Polish champions Legia Warsaw.
The Azerbaijani side recorded a 3-0 win on the road against the Polish side in the final round of the qualification.
The first half ended goalless, Kwabena Owusu provided the assist to help his side score the opening goal of the game in the 50th minute through Cape Verdean midfielder Patrick Andrade.
Qarabag FK doubled the lead in the 62nd minute through French-Moroccan midfielder Abdellah Zoubir.
The game was sealed in the 70th minute by Filip Ozobic to secure the win and passage to the group stage of the 2020/21 Europa League group stage.
The 23-year old forward will feature in his first European competition in his career in the Europa League this season.
The draw for the Europa League will be held on Friday October 2, 2020.
