Kudus Mohammed set for a lengthy layoff as confirmed by Ajax

Mohammed Kudus suffered an injury against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.

The 20-year old lasted six minutes after picking up a meniscus setback in their 1-0 defeat against Liverpool.

Expectation on the hugely talented Attacking midfielder has been huge after impressing heavily since he joined Ajax this summer, hitting the ground running with two Man of the Match Awards, one goal and three assists to his account.

The situation means Kudus will miss the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in November, as well as the remaining matches in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
