Kandumah John delivers Powerful End of Season Message to Football Entourage

Having emerged Champion of the just ended season in the Upper West Regional Division II League, Coach Kandumah John took to Social Media to thank all Football stakeholders for the key roles they played in aiding the success of His course this season.

He wrote on Facebook, “Football they say is a team sport built on trident of stakeholders namely the players, technical/managerial team and the fans or supporters. It is a game dependent on these trident stakeholders as seen in the team jubilation and pains in defeat.

The 2022/23 Regional Football season could not have ended in a better way than this triumphant campaign we enjoyed together. I, Kandumah John, wants to use this platform to extend my appreciation to every single stakeholder who believed, supported or motivated the Power project.

Firstly, to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wa Power SC, Mr Musah Salifu and his managment. I thank you for finding faith and favour in me as head coach of the “We can” family and project. You provided an evironment that was work freindly and formed the bases for our brilliant display through out the season. There were times we disgreed to agree on few occasions but that never affected our focus. I must say you and your team are an excellent group of people and may you continue to be steadfast in all your footballing sojourn.

The players deserve a large amount of credit. It would have been easy for heads to go down after the third game and eventually give up, but they kept at it and got a huge reward. It is clear to see that our players have given a lot to the club and the football community this season right from the MTN FA Cup till the end of the 2022/23 Upper West Division II Season. They have really invested their time and energy in what we have achieved.

I would like to thank our Club captain ABDUL MOOMIN IDDRISS and his deputy TINGAN MAXIMUS. They played such a leading role in the dressing room, on and off the pitch and all of the players for their character, integrity, work ethic and commitment.

I would also like to thank Mr Joseph Kobina Fosu my techinical director and his techinical committee for for their techinical guidance. They contributed so much to the techinical advancement of the players and techinical bench through out the season. I say bravo for your contributions.

To the true owners of the club (supporters) your support for the club this season has been magnificent, particularly during the middle league. I know that many of you sacrifed or risked your jobs and businesses during this middle league because of the timing of some fixtures. You contributed in your little ways, physically and financially to compliment the efforts of managment towards the succuss we achieved. The sense of trust and togetherness was visible all throughout the season. We have to continue to exceed expectations and try to bring more people into the Wa Power SC family. Without you beside us, there is no doubt this season’s achievement might not have been on this scale.

My collegue coaches, I am most grateful for your collective or individual, technical advices and moral encouragement through out the season particularly Coach NAJAHU ISSAH of Kumasi Asanti Kotoko SC. I am forever indebted to you for your role in my status as a coach, Coach Beleiver of Nsuatreman FC, I appreciate your continues guidance, Coach Suleman Rufai you have been an extra odinary brother I am grateful for all you have done for me.

To all the media houses, sports casters, sports writers and sports callers in the Region, am most grateful for the encouragment and fair criticisms. Am very grateful to the entire football ecosystem in the Upper West Region.

To my wife, you have been very supportive right from my appointment. You kept telling me I could break my own record and set another one and we made in a grand style with you as my special assistant. Every man need a Ramy.”
