Japan based Ghanaian Striker ‘Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim’ grants Exclusive interview with MAVERICK SPORTS CENTER

Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim of AC Ococias in Japan speaking to MAVERICK SPORTS CENTER disclosed his honors as a footballer in the Asian country.

“Winning 5 trophies in 3 years is an amazing feeling although is not a top league, the competition is good and it shows the hard work we have put in”.

“Real Tamale United is my supporting team in the Ghana premier league but Asante Kotoko will win the league this season, they have been great all season”.

On Playing in the Ghana Premier league, “Hopefully time will tell and its more attractive now”.

Nassam spoke of his works and plans in giving back to the society. “I have been helping the society and I plan of setting up a foundation. It has always been my dream to give back to my community and Ghana as a whole”.

“The Covid has really affected the world but we are definitely overcoming it. It hasn’t been easy here in Japan and the world. A lot has changed and a lot of things are being done different now”.

“I didn’t start last season well and you know sometimes you don’t just get things go the way you want, But that doesn’t stop you from working for it. I just kept working for it. I just kept praying and working and Alhamdullilah, I was able to meet my set targets for last season”.

“It is always good to have a set target and work towards it and that’s what exactly I did and I’m glad I was able to meet my targets last season”.

The Prolific goal Monger spanned out his preparation and target towards the upcoming season. “My target for the season is to try to score 10 goals and win the league with my club”.

“We have been working really hard in our one-month preseason with a whole lot of new players. It hasn’t been easy but we are getting to know ourselves well”.

He concluded the interview on the standard his father set as a footballer at International level. “My Dad’s name in Ghana Football doesn’t come with pressure but rather motivation to me”.
