Issah Ibrahim Becomes The Newest Ghanaian To Join The Somali Premier League

Issah Ibrahim has become the latest Ghanaian international to join top-flight football league in Somalia in the past two years since the first Ghanaian joined the premier league

Issah Ibrahim has joined Mogadishu based side Elman SC in the second transfer window of the top division and become the third Ghanaian to join the club in the on-going league seasonThe young attacking midfielder is yet to mark his debut for the club since joining following the suspension of the league due to the wide spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic

He is set to debut for the club when the league resume on 17th June, 2020Issah Ibrahim has had stints in Ghana with division one side Okyeman Planners and STK Stars in Sawla before his move to the Somali premier league

The enterprising midfielder hails from Ga in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region and has now joined compatriots Zakaria Issahaque and Wahidu Mumuni at Elman SC

The Somali Premier League can now boast of five players from Ghanaian namely Zakaria Issahaque and Wahidu Mumuni formerly of Wa All-stars in the Ghana premier league, Abubakari Kashaf from lower division side Wa Dondoli Discipline Youth playing for Mogadishu City FC, former Great Olympics, Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak midfielder Malik Akowuah also with defending champions Dekeddah FC
