Int’l Club Friendly: Ibrahim Hanif scores to salvage a draw for Wa Suntaa SC against AS. ACK at the Wa Sports Stadium

Wa Suntaa SC played out a pulsating 1-1 draw game at the Wa Sports Stadium in an International Club friendly against Malian outfit AS. ACK on Saturday afternoon

The game is part of pre season encounters for both clubs ahead of the new football season

Wa Suntaa SC came into the encounter unbeaten in their preparatory games played so far ahead of the season while their opponents have had a tough time since landing in Ghana with defeats to premier league sides Elmina Sharks and Techiman XI Wonders prior to today’s encounter at the Wa Sports Stadium

The game saw improved patronage as soccer loving fans made their way into the match venue to catch glimpses of the much talked about encounter in the region

The match delayed a bit following the late arrival of the visitors at the Stadium but it didn’t have any impact on the field of play as fans were thrilled to a more entertaining and competitive encounter

Both sides fielded in much more their stronger sides for the match and as expected the match lived up to it’s demands

A thrilling first 45 minutes saw both sides failing to make good use of their chances created throughout the period as they went into the break with a goalless first half

The second half began much more purposeful for both clubs as they chase the opening goal of the encounter

The home side entirely changed their starting line-up in the second half which largely affected their performance on the day

The Malian outfit took the lead with less than fifteen minutes to end proceedings at the Wa Sports Stadium before experienced striker Ibrahim Hanif (Super) grabbed the equalizer in the dying embers of the contest with a sublime over head kick to salvage a draw for Wa Suntaa SC

The Malian outfit, who are where to familiarize themselves with the Ghanaian football community and to make friends will now head back home without a win in their stay in Ghana losing two matches and drawing one

Wa Suntaa SC will continue their preparations ahead of the upcoming National Division One League
