Hafiz Wontah Konkoni delightful for scoring first goal of the season

Hafiz Wontah Konkoni shared his delight after opening his goal-scoring account of the season in the on-going Ghana premier league

The former Bolga Allstars attacker has been without a goal since the start of the 2019/20 Ghana premier league season but was on hand to net his maiden goal of the season their 2-3 defeat away from home

Hafiz was instrumental for Bechem United on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium winning a penalty for his side as well as grabbing his side’s second goal on the match

Shortly after the match at the Accra Sports Stadium, the attacker said ” I will give thanks and praises to the Almighty Allah for the goal and the performance from my team-mates and I on the day”

” I knew the goal was coming so I wasn’t that much worried as my performance for the team so far in the season has been encouraging” he added

Hafiz went further to say ” I have had a couple of assists in the league and I had the strong believe the goal drought was coming to an end anytime soon”

On his expectations after the goal the towering striker added ” I knew it was a matter of time and once I have netted and to have done it against Hearts of Oak is a great motivation for me from now till the end of the season”

Bechem United have won away from home in the top-flight league since 2017 and continue to chase their first away win

The attacker concluded by saying ” It is a worrying trend both management and the playing body are working tirelessly to put an end to and hopeful in our next away match we can do it ”
