Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin signs 4-year deal with Portuguese side Vitoria Guimarães
The 22 year old central defender joins Guimaraes on a free transfer from FC Nordjaelland.
“Vitória Sport Clube, Futebol SAD announces that it has signed with the player Abdul Mumin a contract valid for the next four sports seasons, also ensuring 100% of the economic rights of the Ghanaian central defender.” The club wrote on their official website.
Mumin graduated from the Right to Dream academy, and in 2016 he went to Denmark to represent FC Nordsjaelland. Despite starting the U19s, he made his debut for the main team a few days after arrival, skipping stages in his affirmation to process.
He was the first player to join FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark directly from Right To Dream Academy in Ghana.
In 2018 he represented HB Koge on loan, before returning to his home club and becoming one of the most used elements over the past two seasons.
The experience accumulated in the Danish championship has made him a well-known player in the market news, with Vitória Guimaraes having secured his contract until 2024. Mumin will present his work on Monday, joining the group that will be available to new trainer Tiago Mendes.
