Ghana: GFA Normalization Committee mandate extended
The GFA Normalization Committee has secured an extension of their mandate in the helm of affairs in governing football in Ghana
The world governing body, FIFA has approved the request of the Committee to extend their mandate
Dr. Kofi Amaoh and his administration have been given a month extension in office to round up their activities before leaving office
The Normalization Committee was formed to stir the affairs of footballing activities in Ghana following the premiering of Anas’ documentary “Number 12” on bribery and corruption in the game in Ghana
Normalization Committee were given a six month mandate but had it extended in the second term on March 2019. However, an additional one month has been given to the committee to conclude their activities
The Normalization Committee’s will now be in office until October this year
The Committee is expected to organise elections at the regional and national levels for the Football Association before handing over to the new leadership to govern the game in the country
