GFA Presidential Debate: Amanda Clinton Details Why She Wasn’t at Her Best

Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential hopeful Amanda Clinton has explained why she was not at her best at the maiden GFA debate at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on Monday night.

The only female candidate in the race who’s known for her eloquence and persuasive speeches, struggled in most part of her presentation to the surprise of many.

Given the opportunity to demonstrate beyond the long held perception that it is only ‘football people’ who can manage the game, Amanda Clinton screwed up big time and failed to demonstrate that she has what it takes to move Ghana football to the next level.

Her campaign team in a press release details the reason behind her sluggishness:

Part of the statement is read “Though Amanda Clinton at times appeared unprepared during yesterday’s debate she showed signs of leadership”

The release added “Powering through the debate though hearing her father had just been admitted for a stroke the second time just two hours before the debate, Amanda kept her composure throughout”

The GFA elections will take place in Accra on Friday, October 25.
