GFA President Kurt Okraku Details Reason Behind Dissolving Technical Staff of National Teams

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has disclosed the reason behind the Executive Council‘s dissolving of technical staff of all the national teams.

On Thursday the FA released a press statement which details the dissolution of the technical staff of all the national teams.

As expected the news generated a flurry of comments particularly with regards to Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah and other high profile coaches like Ibrahim Tanko and Mercy Tagoe.

But in an interview with Joy FM, Kurt Okraku intimated that the shake up is necessary and geared towards making the various national teams competitive again.

He said “We have not been as competitive as we want to be in all our national levels. We need to find ways to be competitive, bring the love back and bring the teams back into the finals and in the end, win trophies. This is what the council also aims to achieve that is why this was done.”
