GFA Presidency: Aspirant Nana Yaw Amponsah pays courtesy call on the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Area, Wa- Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV

Ghana Football Association presidential hopeful, Nana Yaw Amponsah as part of his campaign tour of the region paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Area, Wa-Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV on Thursday morning

The Phar Rangers FC Chief Executive Officer, and his entourage made thier first stop at the Wa-Naa’s Palace as they seek for the permission of the Overlord to run their activities in the region as customs demands

Nana Yaw Amponsah in his kwy note address to the Wa-Naa, expressed his delight for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage before moving forward to disclose his ambition of coming to the region

He made it known to the Wa-Naa and his sub divisional chiefs that he came all the way down to seek for their ssupport and to make his intentions clear with regards to his hopes of becoming the next president of the

Ghana Football Association

He has promised the chief and the good people of the region of his intentions of giving the region a new facelift as well as taking the region to the next stage in the football fraternity

Jinpenhi Naa Kadri Ibrahim, secretary to Wa-Naa spoke on behalf of chief and good people of the region as he welcomed Nana Yaw Amponsah warmly to the region and assured them of a safe stay in the region till they leave

He also assured the aspirant of their support and also cautioned him not to neglect the region when given the mandate to lead the football fraternity in the country

The Wa-Naa who is a passionate football loving fan pleaded with a aspirant to make it a point to help restore football in the region to a higher level following the sale of the only premier league club in the region, Wa Allstars

As customs demands, Nana Yaw Amponsah was presented with a traditional hand woven smock as a

present from the Overlord of the region

As part of his visit, Nana Yaw Amponsah is expected to hold a close door meeting with major stakeholders in the region before going round for media duties with some of the notable media houses in the region
