GFA Decides: 2017/18 Ghana premier league season cancelled
Congress has today cancelled the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season at the on-going elective delegates congress
The league season was truncated following the airing of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas Number 12 expose, which uncovered bribery and corruption in Ghana and Africa football as well
The decision was taken by the elective congress today with 64 members agreeing to cancel the 2017/18 Ghana premier league season
For the first in the history of Ghaba football, the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season will be played by 18 clubs instead of the usual 16 as Great Olympics and King Faisal are the two new clubs included for the upcoming season
However, five clubs will be relegated at the end of the season as the 2020/21 season will revert back to 16 clubs format again
