France: Defender John Boye captains Metz in their defeat at Bordeaux

Black stars defender John Boye had the honor to captain his side on match day five of the French top-flight league but was unfortunate not to be on the winning side as Metz lost 2-0 away from home against Bordeaux

The defender was solid at the back with a lot of impressive interceptions and blocks throughout the match and lasted the full duration of the match

Two quick first half goals from France compatriots Jimmy Briand and Nicolas de Preville in the seventh and nineth minutes respectively sealed a comfortable win for Bordeaux over the newly promoted club

Metz sits seventeenth after match day five with four points. Next in the league is a home clash against Amiens on Saturday, September 21
