Former Real Madrid manager eyes Ghanaian top-flight job
Former Real Madrid coach Kiko Lopez has been linked to the Ghana Premier league, with several clubs changing managers in recent times the Spanish tactician spoke about his readiness to work in the West African country Ghana.
Speaking to Maverick Sports, the Spanish Coach said
“I like Ghana and I am Very interested to work in Ghana with a club in first división”. The first division in Ghana is the Ghana Premier League which is the top flight.
Lopez Martinez Joaquin holds a UEFA Pro License coaching certificate which enables him to Coach at any level of World Football, he has managed the Real Madrid Youth side for a while and traveled with the team to many countries in the world.
The 49 year old also has experience working in Africa, he managed in the Tunisien first Division for Olympique de Beja as Head Coach and served as Technical director for CS Sfaxien.
With the Head Coach position at Medeama SC vacant after the departure of Samuel Boadu to Hearts of Oak, the Tarkwa based club are in search of a competent replacement and Kiko Lopez would fancy working for the Free spending Club who also have one of the best squads in the League.
The Spaniard uses different systems of play depending on the opponent and/or his crop of players, mostly setting up with 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1.
