Exclusive look at Issahaku Nasiru’s Impressive Season for D2L side Sombo Freedom Stars

Skillful Winger Issahaku Nasiru had one of his brightest campaigns in his infant career as a Footballer in the Upper West Regional Division 2 league 2021/22 season for Sombo Freedom Stars FC.

Affectionately called ‘Shatta’, the Wing-Forward became the Poster Boy of Sombo Freedom Stars following the exodus of some key players before the start of the season.

He contributed 8 goals in the season, scored 5 and set up 3 in just 10 matches played. ‘Shatta’ missed 4 games in the campaign that ended with Sombo Freedom Stars failing to progress to the Middle League.

Issahaku Nasiru also picked 2 MVP Awards for being the outstanding player from the 10 games he took part during the season.

He is known for his for long range shooting and dazzling feet with an electric left foot and great technique that sees him score long range Trademark goals.

‘Shatta’ also scored once in the MTN FA Cup this season in the preliminary round as his side thrashed Ziko Babies FC 4-0.
