Red-hot Solomon Asante has been shortlisted among two others for the Most Valuable Player of the USL Championship season following his impressive performance for Phoenix Rising FC throughout the season

Solomon Asante is the reigning MVP of the USL Championship and is set to battle it with Dane Kelly of Charlotte Independence and Cameron Lancaster of Louisville City FC for the prestigious prize

Asante has earned his second consecutive nomination for the MVP award after winning it in 2019 as he became the first player in championship history to claim top assist provider with nine assists in the regular season

The Phoenix Rising FC skipper also notched in six goals and led the championship with chances created (42) as Phoenix Rising FC finished the regular season tied for the league-high with 43 goals

Winner of the 2020 USL Championship MVP award will be announced on November 6
