Europe: Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu vows to comeback stronger from illness
Ghana and Hellas Verona midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu insists on coming back from illness stronger than before psychologically
The midfielder is yet to return to light training since being hospitalized in August 14th with blood clot in his lungs as he is still undergoing tests and waits to get the greenlight to start working in the gym
The midfielder admits he was shocked after the initial diagnosis
” I have never heard of such illness in my life so I was shaking after the explanation from doctors what my situation was” he told BBC sports
” It’s a bit better now and I am responding to treatment and I’m on the verge of returning to gym work
” What happened we just have to give thanks to God because it could have been worse”
The midfielder joined Hellas Verona this summer on loan from Udinese in the Italian top-flight league after a very tough season last year due to injuries
To discover such illness ahead of the new season was hard for the midfielder to take but insists he will be back stronger
” The diagnosis has made me psychologically stronger” he insisted
” They say you never know how strong you are until you go through something that doesn’t kill you. Mentally I have always been strong but this has made me stronger
” I’m just happy it’s almost over and I will be able to get back to the gym and hopefully get to join the group in the few weeks time”
