Europe: Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo to work under new coach as Celta Vigo part ways with head coach Fran Escriba

Spanish top-flight side Celta Vigo has today announced the departure of head coach Fran Escriba following a poor run of performances in the top-flight league

The decision was announced after the club’s narrow 1-0 defeat at home against Getafe on Sunday afternoon in the Spanish la liga

The former Villarreal coach was appointed as head coach of Celta Vigo in 2019 but has failed to change the fortunes of the club as they sits 18th on the league with nine points after 12 league matches recording only two wins, three draws and losing seven games so far in the new league campaign

The manager has been dismissed alongside his technical bench as Celta Vigo will now begin the search for a new head coach in the coming weeks

Joseph Aidoo played 81 minutes of their defeat against Getafe on Sunday afternoon
