Europe: Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah names among three others for SV Zulte Waregem Player of the Month Award

Ghana youth international left back has been shortlisted among three other teammates for SV Zulte Waregem Merida Player of the Month Award in Belgium

The Black Meteors defender has been named alongside trio Cyle Larin, Ewoud Pletinckx and Abdoulaye Sissako for the prestigious award

The young defender made it to the list following his impressive displays on his debut against Duffel in the league Cup where he provided an assist and his debut league game at Royal Excel Mouscron in the Belgian Jupiler League

Mensah made only two appearances in the month of September and lasted the entire 90 minutes in both matches with one assist to his name

Gideon Mensah joined the Belgian top-flight club in the summer on a season-loan long deal from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg
