Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the nation’s first Prime Minister and President known for his Pan-Africanism was an influential advocate, fighter of freedom and the front runner for African revolution was born on 21st September, 1909

Hence, in celebrating the former Head of State, September 21st has been set aside as a public holiday in the country

With today been 21st of September, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is been celebrated across the globe including the bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen
